A trip to the dentist

Some years ago I paid a visit to the dentist and was treated to what was almost like a scene from Fawlty Towers. I wrote and complained and was gratified to receive a phone call very early the next day  from the person at the center of the debacle. A gracious apology was delivered and that person has remained high in my estimation since. My dentist has a peculiar management style as the letter addressed to him was just chucked down the line – still it worked I am still there and I have not provided a sequel to the Marathon Man.

“The calls involved a luckless quest to ascertain his surname for the travel agents. I can tell you that “the lad has spiky hair and is not dumpy”.
